I find cold white too hard. I'll try warm white to see the difference. I wanted them because I had upgraded my rooftop air conditioner with a mini split heat pump and had to remove some overhead tube lights to install the ceiling panels. Since the new air conditioner has no ducts, I have lots of extra round 5 inch vents in the ceiling. I removed the baffle and filter from the cases and glued the lamps on top. They fit well in my opinion and are slightly recessed into the ceiling. I left them on all day and the heat from the LEDs didn't affect the hot glue. Installation was very easy with two wires marked for +/-. with dimmable light. Contrary to some reports, they don't hum or flicker when used with the built-in dimmer. I would expect some hum and flicker when using a dimmer on the wall as the internal dimmer relies on DC voltage for operation. Contrary to some reports, they dim. When the light comes on, they remember their brightness settings and return to them. The trick to dimming is to hold the center button down until the brightness is right. and releasing the button toggles between on/night blue/and off. mmable, white base light only. I'm a bit disappointed, both with the color cast and the brightness of the lights. My tube LEDs of the same wattage were brighter and had a more "natural" color. I hope warm white is better. I also find them a bit overpriced for what they are. However, the fit of the vents makes up for these shortcomings and I would (will) buy more.
