What sets this door lock apart from others is that it is made of solid metal. There is no "hardened" plastic here. This is one of the things I wanted and it delivered. Installation was painless, quick and easy. There was only one small "nit" to pick out that the inside opening handle was (well) larger than my old one. (Not very good). I had to loosen the door strike plate, tap the whole lock BACK a little and then tighten the strike plate again. The keys were a little tight at first, but a few drops of lock graphite fixed that. Everything works as it should. What I love about this lock is that it's solid metal and you have three ways to get in. (bunch of keys, keys, keyboard). Like someone locked out of their RV by some kind of phantom "ghost" (a cheap, faulty original lock) it's peace of mind. Great castle. PS A year later, after pulling out the batteries for winter storage, I couldn't get the lock to work in the spring. my fault? Who knows. I've tried everything to get it working again to no avail. In any case. I went to Latch.it and they took care of me IMMEDIATELY. They walked me through everything (to try it out) and then immediately redeemed the lifetime guarantee. A week later I received a NEW lock. All is well. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE from this company. Bravo!
