This is one of the best can openers I've ever used. It fits in almost any jar in the kitchen, even wide-necked jars. It just happens and works like magic as long as you have the power in your hands. It holds up great, just slip the loop over the lid, hold the handle with one hand and with the other pull the strap towards the lid to tighten and twist. This is a manual opener, it is NOT designed to do all the work for you, but I have to say that opening tin cans and water jugs is fairly easy with this opener, albeit difficult or impossible before. Some plastic lids (like water jugs) have ribs that hurt when you try to hold them tight enough to open them the first time - that's no longer a problem. The only thing I didn't like was the description because the photo shows 3 bottle openers which can be misleading. They said "Sold individually, you can get red, green or blue" but it should be made clear that you are getting an opener, not a set. I only paid $2.99 for one at my local kitchen store so $7.99 3 seemed reasonable so it was easy to think you were getting 3. My store was sold out and I wanted one for a friend who had carpal tunnel there I ordered online thought I would have to give out 2 more but it's only one opener. Well she still loves it and I decided to give it 5 stars even though I paid 7.99 (with free shipping) vs 2.99 because I really like the product. However, buyers should check locally first to save money.
