This is a great oil to use on many occasions but yes if you have wooden cutting boards this is a must have. I use it not only on cutting boards, but on all wooden handles of steak knives and even on some furniture. It is perfectly absorbed and perfectly moistens the wood. Plus, it's a great price compared to 8 ounce bottles that can cost as much as $10.
