The product is average, I'm not sure it's worth the money.

The device is overrated in my opinion. The idea itself is good, but it's still a long way from a quality implementation. With sound recording, everything is fine - at the level of other Zoom products. But the video quality is frankly poor. Indoors, the grain rushes with terrible force, the picture quality is comparable to a cheap webcam or a compact camera from the most inexpensive niche. This device requires either a more light-sensitive lens (f/1.8 or lighter), a less noisy sensor, or professional lighting (the videos that advertised the device were clearly filmed with good ambient light). The screen was also disappointing. In terms of image evaluation, it is simply useless. Until you see the picture on the big screen (when connected via HDMI), you will not be able to understand whether the horizon is leveled, which filter scene is better to use. In general, by and large, this is a variation of the traditional Zoom recorder with poorly implemented video capabilities at a cost of 2 times more than a regular audio recorder. I hope Zoom will not abandon this great idea and release a second version with more advanced video and a more useful LCD screen. And one more moment that cannot be written down either as a plus or a minus, but only as an impression. The device is very small, light and fragile. For him, a tripod is desirable, and quite reliable, otherwise the picture can "leave" from the slightest, as they say, breath of the wind.

Pros
  • Sound recording quality, lightness and compactness of the device, the ability to supply power through an adapter, the ability to use the device for online broadcasts (only in good lighting conditions or outdoors)
Cons
  • Video quality, LCD screen
