We first bought the medium size for our guinea pigs because the medium size was advertised as the right size for guinea pigs but the medium size is too small for an adult guinea pig. I sent the medium back and ordered this one and we are very happy with it. We don't use needles on our pigs, so they all sleep in snuggle cups, which while large, tend to be very bulky. The small folded towel we use inside makes it easier to swap out (which we have to do every day because they like to potty wherever they sleep). I also love that they have a soft spot to lie on and the edge padding acts as a pillow for them, they love it! Now that we've tried them and know we like them, I'll be switching to all 4 safari sleepers and only using the snuggle cups on wash day.
