Received a silver magnetic car mount for phone today. It works great with my iPhone 7 Plus wrapped in a plastic case. There is no need to use the 3M sticker that came with the box. I place a rectangular thin metal plate between the phone's body and the back of my phone so that the plate is right in the middle. The plate is thin enough that your phone won't fit completely into your case. The magnetic force is strong and doesn't interfere with the phone connection or the GPS, I like that. Since there are 2 metal plates in the car phone holder, my husband can use a round metal plate to fix the phone to the air vent. It's a great thing to make life easier.
