Review on πŸ”§ Rislone 4416 Ring Seal Smoke Repair - Enhanced 16 oz. by Charles Lewellen

Fixing a flushing problem in my 1991 Jeep Cherokee

A common problem with high mileage engines is tire blowouts. Breakthrough is exhaust fumes penetrating worn rings and old cylinder walls into the crankcase. When I removed the oil filler cap on my 4.0 inline 6, I noticed smoke coming out of the hole in the valve cover. So I decided to try this material since the breakthrough was mentioned on the bottle. Well a few weeks later I gave someone a nudge and opened the oil filler cap and believe it or not there was no smoke at all. Remember that my car does not emit oil smoke from the exhaust. So if you are an oil burner I cannot comment on how effective this product is in that regard. But it worked for my problem. This material is very thick and increases viscosity, but I think the "magic" is that there are compounds that bond with the cylinder walls, creating a tight seal where there wasn't. one before.
