I bought "dark blue" and it's more like medium blue - not as dark as navy blue. Nice blue although I wish it was darker. I've only used it a few times and not a single flower has fallen off yet, but it needs to be handled very carefully because when you take it on or off or attach it (which is necessary because it's too big) the flowers are all the way to the edge and I've already torn pieces off some of them. Although it is very beautiful. I wear a soft hair tie underneath for a snug fit. Water still gets in, especially through the ears, leaving your ears and about half your hair wet. At least no one gets in the pool. This lid should be a little tighter, but not too tight. I don't want to go back to those latex hats that were too tight and gave me headaches.
