Excellent! We love it. Blocks UV rays, absorbs heat, keeping you cool under sunscreen. That's what my son and I are fighting for. We have another umbrella from an older and different brand that we also use, it's a lot bigger, covers more but that doesn't mean it blocks UV, you can see the light coming through and it gets hot under that cover.
