OK guys this model is no longer made and there is ONE left at Revain - I received the item.* This is a rebranded Haier machine. The same Haier-branded device sold for about $500! I got this GE device from AMAZON. It got to me safe and sound except the remote was the door. I bought a universal one and everything is fine with the Haier settings. ----Details. To install. Cooling. Review. - Standard top to bottom window installation BUT - I have side to side sliders. Check out the video for installation in such cases, BUT ****** BIG DETAILS - This unit is exceptionally balanced front to back and I didn't need the bracket I bought to support it from underneath . - Installation - Compared to the $159 small 14-inch cubes at WALMART, this is a large unit, but it weighs 55 pounds, which isn't bad for the size. - COOLING - Why? Is? Is that thing that big? It's cool indeed, the answer is. They increased the size of the evaporator. They turned off the fan. They increased the physical structure to ensure efficiency. REVIEW: Only one AC box fit for me, it was the LG 6500 BTU. LG makes very good window air conditioners. This GE/Haier (minus the remote) cost absolutely every penny of $300, and it's SOOOOOOOO quiet, you can't believe it chills you so much.
