Delivery was on time and reasonable packaging. Sandals fit as advertised. Sole of shoe feels softer that my birks and initially felt a little coarser than my birks, which took a little while to get used to. Cork edging is stiffer and darker due to what appears to be more resin which may help hold the form of the shoe. Straps are not leather but are a comfortable suide like material with a soft fabric underside against ones foot. They do seem to stretch a little after wearing a while but easily adjusted with the buckles. I have not gotten them wet at this point but suspect they likely will absorb more moisture than birks if they do which may degrade them more rapidly . time will tell. Its not clear if these are as robust or will last as long as birks (depending how much abuse you subject them to) but for the price they are worth a try. I'll probably get a different color second pair in the near future after test driving my first pair a little longer.
