Great Fan, Great Cooling

Great fan and color option for LED lighting / aesthetically pleasing computer builders. It's also a quiet movement. I have one in a new build as well as two other 120mm case fans. To check the noise level I left my tower running all night for a couple of nights and slept although no one bothered me. I also have 6 full-size hard drives (mechanical) in my system, so even with that extra noise I'm still happy. I'm pretty sure these Cooler Master fans are designed to keep noise down for those who prefer quality construction, helping with college kids' homework (if they're using a desktop computer) or even gamers doesn't get in the way. - However, as far as I know, gamers like the sound quality in their games. The maintenance trick is simple. Keep your desktop free of hair, dust, etc. In my time I've seen some pretty bad ones that add noise to people's personal desktops. Some who have cats or dogs should probably carefully open their cases and use their fingers to prevent the fan blades from spinning, and spray these products with cans of air a few times to remove dust and hair from certain areas. It is highly recommended that this be done by a professional (for those who have never done this before) as one mistake can be a costly disaster. There are many options to consider - static discharge, electric current, and more. I would recommend (at least) people with pets to replace the thermal paste after cleaning their PC (if it is in bad shape) and even those who smoke cigars or cigarettes (ever seen a smoker car windshield?), other mechanical parts or Clean up schematics to keep the board and computer safe. They have some nice filters you can place over the vents (various connection options) to keep pet hair and dust balls out of the tower body, but not completely. However, those huge server farms that people might see on TV or in movies are pretty well designed for dust protection - built with massive micro-filtration systems and the like. Thermal paste on your CPU (requires removing the computer CPU - don't do it yourself if you've never done it before!) professionally. Once this is done I would recommend you as a pet owner to open the case again after 3 months of normal use and check how much dust has accumulated. From there, make the logical decision to clean your computer a few times a year. Under the right conditions, this shouldn't take long.*** A smoker can build up SEE*** A pet owner can have a large buildup of pet hair that can cause overheating and cooling issues*** Laptop owners should do the same You steps to do the same (laptops are much harder to clean, but not impossible). In most cases, canisters of compressed air are sufficient to clean a laptop's ventilation and cooling mechanisms.
