
After reading all the customer comments about the cheaper lids I settled on the Ball Lids which I have been using for years even though they are more expensive. I've stocked up on peaches and Italian plums for me and my husband for the winter; only about 70 cans. All but one of the jars are sealed, which may have been my fault for not thoroughly cleaning the rim of the jar. I don't like paying a higher price for lids, but canning is too labor intensive to risk product loss through spoilage of cheap defective lids.
