Ok, but buy extra!

I bought this to use on two mats. Firstly, this is a brand new 9x12 rug over the rug in our living room. It wasn't that bad at first, but it "went on a bit". We have two small children and a dog, so she runs, jumps, plays and rides a lot (from a dog :). The rug was only a few weeks old and some of the creases from shipping had not been fully ironed out, causing it to have waves in places. I taped a strip of this tape around the perimeter of the rug, plus a line down the middle. It's been a few days and the carpet hasn't moved! Great success! The second rug is an 8x8 in our kids room, also on the rug. It was a hot mess and piled up as soon as you walked over it. I put a strip of tape around the perimeter and would like to tape more, but the tape has run out. The main thing is that both mats hold tight! My only advice is buy more tape than you think you need. If I had to do it all over again I would go all the way around the rug and then glue down the middle of the rug either in stripes or an "x" to make sure it lays as flat as possible. It's quite difficult to go back and add more bands (not sure if you can pull and move it). As long as my mats stay in place, even with the help, it was very difficult to flatten every wave and it bugs me.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Low maintenance
