Very easy to install. It comes with a template to draw the outline on the ceiling and then simply cut it out with a drywall saw or whatever tool you have. Then install the wires as needed (this is the hardest part if you are installing and wiring them yourself). After all the wires are aligned, simply connect the appropriate color (black=power, white=neutral, green=ground) 14ga wires with simple plug and play connectors, then close the metal box and close just turn on the light. The lights are bright and the color is evenly distributed around the circle. This is much easier to use compared to installing a canning lamp. They're especially good if you don't have a lot of room for a glass. I installed these for my parents who had old halogen lights and overall it was easy to install (the light itself). If you need to hook it up, find a power line either from an existing jig (there should be an electrical box on the ceiling) or add it yourself if you're an experienced dyer, and then connect it, i.e. close one connect the wires from light #1 to light #2 and #2 to light #3 etc. I would recommend getting a flex bit if you have holes in it need to drill floor joists through which the wires will pass. Without this tool it will be very difficult if you already have drywall on the ceiling.
