What can I say? I wanted to replace my existing Merrell Vapor gloves and the price of these Saguaros whispered in my ear. They have a wide toe box for foot splay, no heel, seemingly solid outsole, and understated look. Their difference is that the insole for "barefoot" shoes is thick. Although the legs are low to the ground, there's definitely a lot of material compared to the Merrells. The same applies to the upper material: a lot of material makes it a hybrid of sneakers and sandals. I can see glue between the upper and lower sole, but it's glued well and I'm hoping for the best. Another thing I would like is some arch support - they have very little of it. Simply put, these moderately well-constructed sandal-style shoes don't let you walk or walk on the balls of your toes like the popular sandals, instead hitting your heel like any other shoe, however the feet are under the ground and feel more in control and with the ground connected than any running shoe.
