Review on πŸ”§ Raising Electronics 42U Server Rack: 4 Post Open Frame, Adjustable Depth, Cold Rolled Steel, 19 Inch Rack Enclosure - 82 Inch Height by Bob Maldonado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation, stability and reliability

I am setting up a test station/lab, to learn more about programming and needed a 4 post rack to house a small server and other equipment. This rack ticks all the boxes: deep enough to hold an HP Proliant DL360 and high enough for everything else. It's actually slightly larger than I need, but I'm sure the extra space will be filled in soon enough. Installation took less than an hour but probably could have been quicker if I was in a hurry. There are plenty of nuts and bolts to hold everything together and the included cage nuts with M6 bolts hold it all You can use all 4 racks to mount various gear if you don't need the full depth. This isn't really a downside, but even after tightening the screws there's some play in the corners if you apply a decent twisting motion. But on a level cement floor with appliances installed, there shouldn't be any reason to. With a decent UPS mounted underneath, this rack isn't going anywhere. If I get ambitious I could probably add some thin plywood or MDF to the sides and top to cover everything up for a neater look, but not today. The open rack provides full access to all controls for cable management and other connections. This is the first time I have received an offer from Revain for a small gift card for reviewing an item. I have already given several other reviews and will give the same review regardless. I'm not a high-level reviewer, but I try to give feedback to others.
