To my surprise, after several runs, I found that the POE functions for my cameras would NOT work with this cable! stretched the cable back to the same length. No dice. Then, for testing, I cut 3 foot lengths straight out of the box and tested. WITHOUT POE. Then I used a cheap cable from a big store, the camera turned on right away, I just don't recommend this cable, although it looks good optically, but what's the point if it doesn't work? Bummer, I finally got this cable to work with my POE cameras. Apparently the gauge of these wires (both inner wires and outer jacket) is simply not compatible with closed type connectors. Switched to pass-through connectors and voila, everything works now. I find it much more difficult for these stiff, thick wires to reach the end of closed connectors for proper crimping. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because this cable can really only be used for straight runs, it's not very flexible - so save it for really underground wiring and choose something softer for the inside of the building.
