Quality heating! รข Heaters and coolers for aquariums

The heater works! I have 50 watts in a 5 gallon tank and it's ok. I have used FOUR other heaters on my betta fish that had trauma and really needed a warm, comfortable and stress free aquarium environment. I'm new to aquariums and never realized how difficult this hobby can be! I'm very fortunate that my betta weathered the learning curve with nano tanks, nitrogen cycling and water temperature, especially with the amount of crap products that are supposedly adequate but just don't work. This TUT. I have found it very difficult to heat my 3 and 5 gallon nano aquariums above 70 degrees. I started out with 10w and 15w car heaters that claimed to be good for anything up to 5 gallons - no kidding, poor betta was suffering. Then I switched to auto 50 watts - no. Poor Betta was still suffering. Then I switched to H----er 50W adjustable - total crap - never went over 73 even though I turned it up to max. This one FINALLY made it. It is able to perfectly heat a 5 liter tank with power reserve. I've found that depending on the temperature in the room, I might need to adjust the temperature up or down by about 2 degrees to compensate, but it's always in the 2 degree range. I have a fairly cold room and when I turn the heater up to 80 it fluctuates between 78 and 82 depending on the rise and fall in room temperature. My Betta is FINALLY recovering from a long and shady road and I really think a lot of it has to do with this heater keeping the water warm enough. Very happy! Another thing I would like to point out is that this is quite a large heater. So if you have a nano tank you might want to check the height measurements to make sure it fits snugly.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are nuances
