This is my favorite new backpack. It's large, but not huge. It has nice padding both on the straps and on the portion of the pack that sits on your back. The zippers are smooth and easy to find quickly due to the pop of red. When you open the pack, you'll find two large pockets with a handful of dividers to make organization easier. On the outside, there are two water bottle holders (one per side) and tons of anchor points to fit just about any configuration. And if you're in bear country like I am, hoisting this up in a tree would be a cinch without putting too much weight on a single anchor point. The chest strap has a whistle built into the clip. This keeps it nice and accessible in case you turn a corner on the trail and come face-to-face with a mountain lion. It's plenty loud to call for help, too.I just realized that I forgot to take a picture of the rain fly that conveniently stores under the pack in its own zipper pocket for rapid access. Super thoughtful! The only improvement would be some padding for the waist strap. It's thick, but stills cuts into the hips with heavier loads.Overall, this is an amazing value for the money, and I plan on picking up another one for my wife.
