Review on 🔧 Schaeffler LuK RepSet 16-079 Clutch Kit: Ultimate OEM Clutch Replacement for Superior Performance by Joshua Bell

Had some issues with these clutches on a 2005 Pontiac Vibe (engine/transmission identical to Toyota Matrix). The alignment holes on the pressure plate did not line up exactly with the studs on my engine (model 1ZZ engine). I sent back a clutch thinking it was defective and got a replacement with the same problem. However, all of the mounting bolt holes were perfectly aligned (which I think is very important), so maybe it was just the mounting bolts on my motor that were slightly bent? Hopefully this shouldn't be a problem on other models (and if so, just drill those bolt holes!) - has anyone else encountered this problem?! Another annoying thing is that both kits I received only included one clutch. alignment tool (unlike the two shown in the product image) and they definitely will not fit the flywheel recess on these car models. In case you're wondering, I have the narrower of the two tools in my kits - the thicker one looks like it's the ticket, so you might be in luck. The clutch can be adjusted by eye (which I did), but that makes the job a bit more difficult. There's a good chance you'll spend the day clicking the gears. Overall a good grip for the price (if there is one!). It's been 5,000 since I installed mine and so far I'm 100% happy with it.
