Cables are too long and difficult to manage. Putting two side by side gives you two feet or more of extra cord. Remember that if you don't have significant spacing between pucks, you have too much extra cable to manage gracefully. Maybe charge $1 more and buy some 6" and longer cables for more flexibility.
