Review on Gates 33576 Thermostat by Dany Meadows

This part, like all my previous Gates products, works and fits perfectly. I use Gates for all my cooling and heating parts in my cars. A long time ago I read a popular article on mechanics that mentioned that OEM parts are usually outsourced to certain manufacturers. Gates was one of them, I've used other parts from Stant but over the years I've noticed that the quality and craftsmanship seems to be slipping. I use this part in my Dodge Ram 2500 V10 that was used in a 1992-2003 Ram 2500-3500. I use a slightly lower temp than originally recommended since I use this car in Arizona. This is noticeable in winter; The stove does not blow warm air because the thermostat opens at a lower operating temperature. However, that pales in comparison to idling at 210 degrees on the hottest day of summer - a fair compromise in my books.
