Review on Enhance Your Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra (1999-2006) πŸ“Έ with a Master Tailgaters Black Handle Backup Camera by Frankie Wesley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for loss, video quality is average to mediocre.

This is a review of Master Tailgater's backup camera on the trunk handle. I use this on a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 5.5 foot short bed. I took this to Best Buy to have it installed as I'm a current member of Total Tech Support so figured I'd take advantage of that. I'm using this with an Alpine ILX-W650 and so far my experience hasn't been that good. Every time I put it in reverse, the image quality on the screen is pretty static. I'm not sure if it was Best Buy's Geek Squad that didn't do a proper install, or if it's the stereo I'm using, or really a backup camera, but that's the problem I'm having right now. Sometimes it works well, but most of the time it doesn't. Also, as many other reviewers have pointed out, the tailgate handle on my truck is loose. My workaround was to drill two screws on each side, which honestly doesn't look that bad. I'm not sure if this is mostly the case with Silverado 1500 models or other models as well. So keep that in mind when considering purchasing. I add photos later to show the quality of the camera video, also this doesn't _always_ happen and when it does I usually rush or forget to take a photo.
