This sleep system is the best sleeping bag I have ever used, especially for the money. We've all played around with Coleman sleeping bags or other traditional camping systems, but the three-piece system is in a league of its own (the fourth piece is the black compression bag, which is excellent). I first experienced it in the military and was sad the day I had to hand it in along with the rest of my gear when I got out. I was determined to buy one just because I knew how good it was and I was pleased - it's exactly the type and style of bag I got and it's great. The compression sack allows you to quickly stuff it into your sleeping bag and sit on top of it to compress it as tightly as possible and keep it waterproof - you never have to sit there, fold your sleeping bag properly and struggle with ropes to tie it. Those days are over. The outer layer protects against moisture, while the two inner layers offer excellent thermal insulation. I woke up in an icy/muddy puddle during my workout and was dry and warm it feels so good. For the serious hiker/tourist who goes into harsh environments, this bag is for you.
