Exploded bulb: Incandescent bulbs

Installed two of these bulbs in a twin bulb fixture. The bulbs were only used for about 6 or 8 hours and went to turn on a two bulb light and one of those bulbs immediately exploded. the expiry date was 10 days ago Obviously there are serious problems with the quality of the onions. I have used this type of lamp in this exact application for the last 32 years and my grandfather used it for 40 years and none of these lamps have exploded. My advice? Choose another brand.
