Review on Dashboard WizGear Magnetic Windshield Adjustable by Michael Cleveland

I wish I knew then what I know now. Maybe this review will help those who have the same goals as me. I bought this mount mainly because of the long arm and magnetic mount. The fact that it was stuck to the windshield and dash made it even more attractive. When I received it I was thrilled to see that it has a strong suction adhesive to improve its grip on a variety of surfaces. However, what I didn't expect is that the same adhesive makes it extremely difficult to remove. This is not a permanent adhesive but it is very effective and requires a lot of effort and finger strength to change this mount in different locations or vehicles (which was my main intention). The small removal projection on the suction cup is awkward to grip. This, combined with the fact that the adhesive is so difficult to remove, resulted in the suction mechanism getting damaged when I was moving cars. The moral is: do one for each car and study your methods carefully for proper placement. The adhesive is NOT permanent and actually peels away from the surface fairly gently. But the mechanism does not withstand the force required to remove such a fastener. In fact, this is a ONE TIME mount.
