Beautiful fully cohesive 'look' in my eclectic 1930's Spanish home. I love the contrast between white walls and dark wood and these dark copper switch covers are perfect for my home. As with most Spanish-style homes, there are many rustic elements here. They are dark and yet elegant. They look better with white switches. The dark color switches just disappear. The contrast is more attractive. I took a picture with a switch that has both so you can see how the white appears while the dark does not. minuses. They're slightly larger than standard switch plates, so we had a few spots where they didn't fit. I still decide what I do in those places. Maybe cut off? Do you use black plastic that can be easily resized? I don't know and it's unlikely that this would be an issue in a newer house that's more "normal" than mine. I am not sure if they are metal. The magnet will not stick to it. It doesn't matter to me, but maybe to you. The matching bronze screws are much longer than the ones we used. I'm a beginner and I did it all myself. I don't know why they have to be so long. The plate cover sticks out a bit from the wall, but the screws are still long considering that. In order for these covers to fit snugly on the switch plate, the screws must go deep into the box. Conclusion: I LOVE YOU!
