At first glance this item seems flimsy and a bit cheap like you could buy it in a store for a dollar. The material is very light and cannot protect the tablet. As soon as I received the tablet in this case, my experience improved. The screen cover is quite thick, there are no problems with it. I haven't dropped the device so I can't say if it's protected against this kind of accident, but it seems really safe. It makes carrying my tablet very easy and convenient. I really like it, I'm happy with the purchase. I will update once I have an accident with it. It has to happen because now I carry this thing everywhere. June 9 update. It's still holding up great, and yes I've dropped it a few times. The device was fine, I picked it up and moved on. So far, so good. I like that it's lightweight and the screensaver is pretty robust.
