Spend your extra ten dollars and buy the pens specially sold by Microsoft. For starters, the pens start writing on the Surface screen when you move your mouse about an inch higher. I've tried changing the pen sensitivity in the Surface app but these pens only write at 100% sensitivity no matter what settings you choose. I thought I could handle it, but then it happened. One of the tips broke INSIDE my pen so I couldn't remove it with the tweezers that came with it. I had to poke around the broken tip with a needle to get it out. Not only did this not remove the stylus, it also broke it into tiny pieces of cheap plastic, making it impossible for me to remove it. Since I chose to use non-Microsoft pens, Microsoft did not provide me with a replacement pen. So I had to take a pair of pliers and remove the tip of the pen myself to get the rest of the pen out. My pen tip is completely broken, the inside that holds the pen is bent, and the three remaining tips are still writing when I'm over the screen. Thank god Revane sent me a refund but my pen is completely destroyed.
