Calling it just a selfie stick is a misnomer. It's more like a selfie stick on steroids. I mean it does everything, it's telescopic, it can hold a cell phone, regular camera or action cam, it has a Bluetooth wireless remote (rechargeable via USB) and a built in tripod. To be honest, I'm not the type to use selfie sticks normally, but the versatility of this stick got me hooked. My main concern was being able to position my phone for group shots and this stick gives me just that. A little tip in case it isn't obvious... Just below the ball joint is a chromed surface which is actually a mirror, so you can frame your shots when you're not using your phone's front camera.
