I personally think this knife could be one of the most popular chef's knives on Amazon. It sharpens instantly and is easy to maintain with honing steel. It also sharpens easily with a 1000 grit kingstone. The weight and balance are really good too. BUT. I don't know if you can tell from the photos, but the knife is bent. Of course it still works, but every time I look at the knife I worry because I see the bend. I contacted the seller to find out how to straighten it or what they can do about it, but I have not received any response ... I could not use the knife due to the increasingly annoying curvature I bought a KUMA brand chef's knife, which is very similar but costs ten dollars more. I shouldn't have wasted my money on a knife with no customer service and should have returned it when I received the curved knife. I highly recommend spending the extra $10-15 and getting a KUMA knife. Next to a KUMA knife, the legendary chef's knife feels amateurish compared to the Kuma chef's knife.
