I bought this Gerber replacement damper to stop a water leak. Installing the new damper was easy. The harder part was removing the old damper; I actually had to cut out the old one after a reviewer claimed it broke the faucet. The flap is a bit soft. I have to hold the damper down for about 1 second to flush the water and then release the flush handle. Otherwise the water pressure will become so strong that the flap may not close properly. I am happy with the purchase and will have to wait and see how long it lasts.
