Good call and seems to work fine. (I used 5V DC.) I have a few minor complaints: 1) It looks more like a buzzer than like a bell. I was hoping it would sound more like an old fashioned phone call, but it doesn't. 2) It generated enough EMI to interfere with the electronics I was using to control it. I fixed the problem, by putting a diode in the bell directly to the terminals of the electromagnet Simply connecting a diode to the external terminals of the bell is not enough to stop the EMI, because the bell has a switch that repeats contact with the electromagnet interrupts.
