I have had many cordless phones over the years and this one is the most frustrating. First, it has too many options for the average user who just wants a basic cordless home phone. Programming is a nightmare. If programming the date and time is difficult, know that the rest of the programming will not be easier. Unless you really need a lot of extra phone activity other than making and receiving random calls. If you don't use a smartphone or other cell phone, I would recommend looking for a cordless phone that offers fewer features and frustration. For the size range, this is a slim design and doesn't take up much space.
