I was hoping that even inside the stand it would be quiet enough and isolated from vibration, but even with both air lines installed (which kills most of the noise) the pump itself makes a 60 stroke -Hum makes me think my speakers have gone bad and it's ignoble when I'm playing music. I left it on for the weekend while I was out to see if it needed anything, but the moment I opened my bedroom door I went back to the Aquairum Co-op USB Air Pump I started with had, although it was slightly lower. Food for my needs now. It's a good unit that produces good and consistent airflow, but isn't as quiet as I would have hoped for my particular setup.
