I used these templates to make a wooden "Welcome" sign as a housewarming gift for a friend. They worked great and I think my sign looks professional - I took a picture for you to see how you like it. The 4.3 inch capital letters were perfect for my sign. I really like the handwritten font - it's cool. I made sure to center each letter. They are not all the same width - for example the "M" is slightly wider than the "E" due to the swirls. The stencils are made of flexible plastic and are thin enough to paint a "clean" stencil but thick enough to be washable. I simply placed them in a pot of water in the kitchen sink for a few minutes, then used a kitchen sink brush to lightly scrub with soapy water. They rebounded fairly easily and are ready for my next project. I've been careful not to bend them, but they're not too fragile. UPDATE: The best and easiest way to clean these stencils is to wipe/rinse them immediately after use while the paint is still wet. I am satisfied with these stencils and can recommend them!
