Bought for my son for school. The only problem he had with it was the smell. There's nothing Gain Detergent and a good hand wash wouldn't take care of! They're lightweight and breathable, and we both love that they have disposable filters. For a nurse who has to wear a mask all day at work, comfort and breathability are just as important as safety. This mask is suitable for those in need outside of a medical facility. I would NOT recommend machine washable due to the valves, but they are easy to hand wash and hang dry. They dry fairly quickly in the sun.
