I used to be the guy who bought a giant block of knives with a million different knives. Of course, you end up only using a few of those knives because you're not a professional chef as you might think. A year goes by and these once shiny knives become dull, rusty, or both. So you go and buy another knife block. The cycle goes on and on. Now I'm the guy who only buys the knives I really need. And they work very well for their intended purpose (cutting food before consumption). The price is also very pleasant. I hooked them up to the knife dock and now they live in a drawer with their brother/sister knives. They like it there a lot more than that big pad that used to be on my counter. Don't be that type. Stop the knife block cycle before it starts. These knives are a good start.
