Unfortunately, when I was introduced to this stainless steel massage tool set, I encountered fingerprints and oil stains on both tools. I have cleaned them up a bit but some signs of condition can be seen in the attached photos. Poor initial presentation aside, this is a solid pair of massagers. In fact, they are made of high quality stainless steel. They have a highly polished finish with smooth finishes as expected. The massage roller has some weight, although not overwhelmingly heavy. However, it is noticeably heavier than jade or rose quartz counterparts. Stainless steel gives the massage roller a high-tech or clinical aesthetic. It features plastic inserts that act like bearings, allowing for smooth and silent rotation. The rollers work like a well lubricated wheel (note: no oil is used, the plastic insert enhances the turning motion). The reels tend to be wider than jade/rose quartz counterparts. This is most noticeable with the small roller. Guasha feels great. The size and thickness are well thought out; It feels good in the hand and is easy to use. Of course, it has the same high gloss and smooth surface as the massage roller. Fingerprints and smudges aside (which were mostly erased/polished prior to the photos) this is a great heart shaped gouache. And since it's made of stainless steel, there are little to no breaks/cracks to worry about, which is a concern if jade or rose quartz gouache is dropped. If you have a collection of massagers (jade and rose quartz and gouache massage rollers) this would be a great addition. I use hot/cold gel packs to add temperature aspects when using these stainless steel massagers. Metal elements easily absorb the temperature of the gel pack. I can keep the gua sha wrapped in a gel bag with a massage roller or vice versa. The set corresponds to the pictures and information in the product description. However, my frustration with the "dirty" conditions (was it a returned kit?) that required extensive cleaning prior to actual use will affect the rating. Therefore, this stainless steel massage set has been rated from 4.0 to 4.25 stars.
