**Update** I've had this for a few months now and it works great. I love the magnet feature which allows me to easily attach it to my stove. I've also had the opportunity to test the waterproofing (why I chose it) and so far it's working well. It survived multiple washes and the death dive that killed my last thermometer. **Original** So far it works exactly as advertised. I haven't exactly used "waterproof" over the bell, but it reads significantly faster than the last "instant read" temp sensor I had and I found it read quite quickly.
