The sound quality isn't top notch, but it's what you'd expect from a device this cheap. There is an audible mechanical squeak/creak when playing CDs. It's only really noticeable when listening with headphones, but once you've got it you'll notice it every time. Very annoying. The tape player is adequate but to be honest I don't really trust it, especially when it comes to playing irreplaceable cassettes. It's ok for the price, but there are better alternatives for a little more money.
