I have had this spindle for a little over half a year. It hasn't been used enough to say anything about its performance over its lifespan, but so far it's done a great job for me. I originally got this working on a small DIY CNC router using 8mm screws and cheap 8mm rails. After learning some tutorials I built a bigger and stiffer machine using 20mm linear guides and ball screws. I'm driving the spindle of a new machine, cutting aluminum, steel, wood, you name it. The spindle works quite well in this setting, although its speed is faster than I would like for metalwork. However, it revs comfortably between 3000 and 4000 rpm, with enough torque to get my job done. Most jobs don't really put a strain on the motor, so it doesn't seem to get very hot even at lower speeds.
