Review on Case Logic QHDC 101 Portable Drive by Chuck Hernandez

I bought this to use with my WD My Passport Ultra 2TB portable external hard drive. The external hard drive fits perfectly, snugly with little room to slip, even if the rubber band loosens over time. The mesh pocket keeps the cables secure and neither the cables nor the drive move, reducing the risk of chafing or scratches. The case is solid but not entirely rigid, so there's a risk of squashing the cables to the drive if you drop it at the bottom of your bag and place a heavy laptop on top. However, it seems to offer good protection and the corners are tight. Didn't try to drop it to test, but it looks like it will protect against accidental bumps and corner damage. I recently left a hard drive in an enclosure in a very dusty environment. The hull (and everything around it) was covered in very fine white dust. There wasn't a speck of dust inside the case, and the hard drive wasn't even slightly dirty. This case isn't advertised as being able to hold dust, so it was a very welcome find. I have had several cases over the years and this is the best of them all. I've just ordered another external hard drive and one more, this time in red for protection. It offers everything I need in a case at a very affordable price.
