I purchased this DC power supply for use with an Akai MPK49 MIDI controller keyboard. I power my electronic musical gear from a Furman IT-1210 Balanced Power Isolation Transformer. I have at least half a dozen similar power supplies plugged into that unit. However, for unknown reasons. this unit does not work with the balanced power supply. Fortunately, there was a direct wall outlet conveniently located and this product worked OK when plugged directly into the AC mains, as most would use it. I had to use an extension chord since this PS only has about three feet of DC cable to the plug, which was about a foot short of working directly in the intended situation.
