I was a bit concerned about the plastic fittings on some sections but I think the most important thing is to make sure the arm is properly balanced with the counterweight. If you are placing a very heavy light on the other end, make sure it is balanced so there is no stress on the locking arm preventing it from sagging. Simply turn on the light and hold it with your hand, then hang the counterweight and then move your hand until it balances itself on the stand. focus, right? Correct and even weight distribution. If you don't, you'll be overloading parts that will break sooner or later.
