Review on πŸ’‘ Non Dimmable Antique Vintage Filament Bulb by Claudia Green

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great even on lamps with fogged glass

I have a decorative porch light that I wanted to set from dusk to dawn. I've been looking at light switches, screw-in light sensor adapters, and these dusk-to-dawn lightbulbs. After reading the reviews I decided to go with incandescent bulbs as I already had a decorative Edison style bulb in the fixture. They work exactly as described, even in my fogged glass decorative lighting. If you keep these bulbs next to a regular Edison-style bulb from dusk 'til dawn, you won't be able to tell them apart. There is no perceptible light sensor. These ultra-low wattage LED bulbs consume almost no electricity, turn on and off automatically and look just like traditional decorative bulbs. + for looks, functionality and usability. In the past I've used sensors from dusk to dawn. Your light sensor is generally very sophisticated. Depending on the light you're using, the sensor sees a bulb, thinks it's daylight, and then you see a flickering light as the sensor cycles on and off to figure it out. You don't have that problem with lightbulbs, they just work.

Pros
  • Auto on/off
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
