My goal was to achieve two things (1) go from 16GB to 32GB (2) go from single channel to dual channel This part is exactly the same as the one that originally came with my Dell Inspiron 7567 laptop, so it was more important for me to know that compatibility wouldn't be an issue and both chips would have the same identical specs. In the 2 months since I installed this chip it has worked great. There were no reliability or performance issues. While I do play this laptop from time to time, I mostly use it with virtual machines running Ubuntu or Windows depending on what I'm doing. Since one of my biggest jobs is compiling Android builds in an Ubuntu VM, more memory has helped SIGNIFICANTLY reduce build times. Otherwise, the jump in performance was much less noticeable in games. I would have thought that going from single-channel to dual-channel would make a difference, but games like We Happy Few and Forza Horizon 3 seem to be more GPU-bound than anything else; They seem to load and work about the same.
