Review on EVEO Premium Dual Monitor Stand Mount - Ultrawide Screen Desk Mount with Full Motion Mechanics, Adjustable Height/Tilt/Swivel/Rotation - Holds 18.5lbs/arm by James Handy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Top quality build, good design, cable routing requires some work

• Amazing clamp mechanism with a screw on top used to tighten the flat and soft C clamp which made installation a lot easier for me than the previous slot to cut in my desk to make a clamp. That it was flat and not bulky was great. Designed by A+, that was one of the main reasons I chose EVEO! • The hands are strong and all metal is thick and of high quality. Excellent powder coating. Overall, a very high quality fit and finish with great attention to detail. • Loved the large, heavy duty clamp bolt tightening tool. I wish it was an all-in-one tool that would machine every bolt or screw on the entire unit for convenience, but I still liked the size and quality of the tool and the slot to hold it on the back of the base to hold, so I didn't lose it. I also want it to be painted black to match the slots on the back. • Loved the included Velcro! • Loved the thumbscrews on the VESA mounts! little improvement. I wish they had a bit more space and a sliding mechanism that is inexpensive, reliable and good looking doesn't make the interaction of adding or removing cables fluid, especially when you have a lot of them. I think something could be done to improve this, whether it's adding some depth to the plastic to give it more internal space, or changing its overall design with a hinge or other locking mechanism. Your items will still fit, but with a little effort. • The plastic cable routing piece on the shoulder is too easy to pull off by hand. I would also like to see a second cable tie on the shoulder. • The plastic cable management element at the base slides out very easily. I was expecting it to crack, but it doesn't seem to be happening. • I had to tighten the socket head screws that hold the VESA mounts to the plastic rails (the ones marked TOP with an arrow) because they have a lot of play to loosen. . I liked that they took the same wrench as the set screws for the rotation lock mechanism. • The rotation locking mechanism is not very good and even after tightening I can't get it to lock. I think it could be improved although it's minor for me. Overall this is a 9/10 for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid monitor arm but don't want to pay $300.

Cons
  • So far so good
